The collector/panel sensor is located in the flow pipe assembly.
The cylinder sensor is located in the lower level of the tank
in the region of the lower coil. The pump/valve assembly is
located in the return pipe to the panels. All the above are
wired back to the digital controller. This senses the temperatures
at the panels and cylinder and operates the pump accordingly
to ensure there is no overheating within the system.
The installations of Solar Panel Systems Limited are designed
to supply up to 70% of free hot water throughout the year. In
the summer months it is estimated that at least 95% of all hot
water is free. Therefore the boiler will be switched off, which
means less contamination of the atmosphere from the emission
of flue gases.
In the winter months the solar energy will 'pre-heat' the incoming
cold water, thus saving energy by not using the primary hot
water supply from the boiler system as much as a normal non-panelled
system. A saving in energy of up to 25% can be achieved in these
winter months depending on the geographical location within
the United Kingdom.
Solar energy is a 'free' source of energy available throughout
the year. By taking advantage of the knowledge in technology
of Solar Panel Systems Limited you will be saving the use of
fossil fuels which in turn helps the environment by creating
less carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases that may pollute
the atmosphere. In comparison with other renewable energy sources,
the Solar Panel System is the only system that does not require
an energy source to produce hot water. Daylight is the supplier.
The cylinder is constructed of Duplex stainless steel, which
is 100% recyclable, with 2 x coils constructed of the same material.
The lower coil is connected to the solar panel system, while
the upper coil is connected to the primary heating circuit from
the system boiler.
The Recommended cylinder manufacturer is RANGE CYLINDERS
LIMITED.
A system utilising solar heat in conjunction with an electronically
heated single coil cylinder using immersion heaters and solar
panels connected to the single coil within the cylinder. The
pump set and control system is incorporated in this system as
shown in the above scheme.
The recommended stainless steel unvented
cylinder manufacturer is Range Cylinders Limited.
The recommended thermal store manufacturer
is Gledhill Water Storage Limited.
